Multi-Modal Transport: Documentation as it Affects Banking

Abstract

B.W. Morgan's article discusses combined transport documentation and the methods of financing international trade transactions as used by banks. These include consignment, documentary collection, negotiation (with banks) of bills of exchange, and letters of credit. To that end the article also discusses the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits.
