Abstract
The 29 May 1976 session took the form of a panel-led workshop discussion, led by Salter, Birrell, Morgan, and O'Hare. This paper covers some of the issues that were discussed during that session. The major topic was that of a draft Carriage of Goods by Sea Convention being developed by an UNCITRAL Working Group to address some of the problems with the Hague Rules/Hague-Visby Rules. Also discussed was a proposed UN Draft Convention on International Multimodal Transport.
