Carriage of Goods in the 1980's: The Role of Governments

Abstract

This article by G.S.E Milne examines 'freedoms of the seas' and posits that almost all restriction upon them is regulation by governments, with the level of government involvement increasing with the extent of the restrictions. The author attempts to predict what regulation will look like over the following decade, based on current trends, with consideration of the nature and complexity of governmental involvement.
