Abstract
Bolitho's perspective is based on several years' experience at the Australian National Line, in addition to forty years' experience in the shipping industry as a whole. The purpose of this paper is to present the Australian National Line as a commercially viable enterprise with ongoing potential and value, especially as a manifestation of the Australian national interest.
