Abstract
This paper was presented by Michael White at the MLAANZ 1994 Conference as part of the Workshop on Assessment of Claims for Oil Pollution Damage. White recounts the history of the Haven oil spill incident and the subsequent clean-up efforts. White then proceeds to discuss the resulting legal proceedings and the many claims made in Italy and abroad.
