Abstract

Coleman presents this paper as part of Business Session 5. Coleman describes the role and priorities of the Admiralty Marshal in Australia, including attracting competitive bids for ships subject to judicial sale. Coleman also refers to the sale of and prioritisation of claims to vessels such as the Martha II and the Offi Gloria, and challenges to the position that the Marshal should be paid fairly and in full for the ship.
