Abstract

Whitehead speaks on the topic of The Marshal's Role as part of Business Session 5, in particular the role of the Marshal of the Federal Court of Australia in the demise of ABC Containerline. Whitehead addresses several of the issues that arose during the arrest of the Martha II in Sydney, and the developments that have taken place in the practice of the Federal Court Marshal since that time, especially in relation to the movement of vessels under arrest.
