Wiswall Jr presents this paper as part of Business Session 2, chaired by Paul Willee. Wiswall Jr recounts the work of the CMI over the past decade or more to achieve uniformity in the law on the carriage of goods by sea, before describing the current work of the CMI in this area and proposed revisions to the US Carriage of Goods by Sea Act.
