CMI Questionnaire on All Aspects of Transport Law

Abstract

As Sherlock states, the upcoming CMI Conference in Singapore in February 2001 will heavily feature the topic of reform of the law governing the international carriage of goods by sea. The CMI's contribution to this effort is being carried out alongside UNCITRAL. Sherlock provides context to the CMI's efforts and work over the last few years (especially its work in conjunction with UNCITRAL), and major topics within the broader scope of international carriage of goods by sea which require reform or clarification. Sherlock also describes the progress made thus far by the International Subcommittee on Issues of Transport Law, and MLAANZ's contribution to the current reform process.
