This paper was presented as part of Business Session 1, on the topic of 'Ongoing issues of safety quality and security in world shipping', which was chaired by Peter McQueen.

This paper contains the slides (and annotations) for Lewins' presentation about standards of obligation between consumers and their suppliers as set by the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth), as they apply to towage contracts.
