Abstract

This paper contains the slides for the authors' presentation on shipwrecks and underwater cultural heritage in Australia and New Zealand, particularly the latter, with a range of photos included in the slides. The authors discuss the UNESCO Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage 2001 and the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks 2007, both of which New Zealand has yet to ratify, and the definition of 'underwater cultural heritage'.
