Abstract
Main components of wind farms are almost exclusively transported on oceangoing vessels. This article explores the background and main features of the maritime transportation of such components. In addition, this article considers some of the legal issues and risks raised by such maritime transportation phase - together with potential mitigation measures - before discussing the potential future key issues of such phase.
