Résumé
Ronald J. Salter's article discusses the development and meaning of the concept of 'combined transport' as conceived since the Hague Rules 1924 were introduced, and what practical problems might arise in applying the Hague Rules to combined transport situations, especially around limitation of liability. The author concludes by recommending the introduction of a Convention to deal exclusively with combined transport.
