Résumé

F.J. Cadwallader's article traverses recent trends in shipping law by looking at five areas and using cases as an illustration of problems in those areas. The issues discussed include jurisdiction clauses, ascertaining the carrier of goods in order to know who to sue, clean bills of lading and the giving of indemnities, marine insurance, and Admiralty jurisdiction on a global scale. Sections of the Hamburg Rules are annexed at the end.
