Résumé

This paper looks at some of the issues likely to arise in the aftermath of a transport disaster, and examines the lawyer's role in managing the ensuing investigations, enquiries, and media attention. The authors also set out to deal with the position in English law and practice, and look at the range of problems primarily from a shipowner's perspective. The authors provide extensive appendices at the end of the article.
