Résumé

Levingston presents on the topic of Co-ordination of Cargo Interests (Business Session 4). Following the collapse of the ABC Container Line, five vessels were under arrest in various ports around the world, with each carrying between 1000 and 1200 containers. This paper is about the practical challenges faced and the solutions found in each of the five mentioned jurisdictions (Sydney, Auckland, Halifax, Haifa, and Singapore) in organising the discharge of cargo in a timely and cost effective manner.
