Résumé
This paper was presented as part of Business Session 8, titled 'The New Direction for Marine Litigation', which was chaired by Barton Phillips. The first page of the paper contains a short biography of the author.
As Hoskison explains, in the last few years there have been some quite significant changes to the way salvage is contracted and in the law, which has had a marked effect upon the administration of salvage arbitrations. These are: the Arbitration Act 1996, LOF 2000, and SCOPIC.
