Resumo
In this paper, Lux addresses two different subjects: bunker quality disputes (involving the triangle of bunker supplier, time charterer, and shipowner), and cargo theft (involving complaints by charterer or cargo interests against shipowner). Lux provides insight into the history, regulation, risks, and process of shipping oil, and considers a range of applicable US and UK cases (and arbitration awards).
